Car-Free Day: A One-Day Initiative, A Lifelong Habit
Publication date: 10.07.2026 14:46:25Meaningful change does not always require extraordinary efforts. Even giving up a company vehicle for just one day, walking to work, or using public transport can make a valuable contribution to protecting the environment and improving personal health.
That is exactly the purpose of the Car-Free Day campaign.
This time, employees of our company actively supported the initiative, and the results are clearly reflected in the figures.
Today, the company operates a fleet of 51 passenger service vehicles. Of these, 9 are currently under repair, 9 run on gasoline, and 33 operate on compressed natural gas (CNG). On a typical working day, these 33 CNG vehicles consume approximately 1,000 cubic meters of natural gas.
During the campaign, only 7 vehicles were used for operational needs, while 26 remained in the garage. As a result, nearly 788 cubic meters of natural gas were saved, preventing the release of almost 1.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO₂) into the atmosphere.
These are not just statistics. They represent cleaner air, reduced traffic congestion, and a practical contribution to environmental protection.
The campaign also brought another important benefit. While many vehicles remained parked, our drivers stayed productive. They inspected their vehicles, carried out preventive maintenance, and repaired minor defects. Such work is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of the company's transport fleet.
Our team includes many experienced and dedicated drivers who generously share their knowledge with younger colleagues. One of them is Abdurakhmon Mamatov, a highly respected professional and mentor whose experience and sense of responsibility set an excellent example.
Mechanic Bekhruz Yunusov also made a significant contribution to the campaign by supervising the technical condition of the vehicles and coordinating maintenance activities with the drivers.
The Car-Free Day campaign once again demonstrated that reducing vehicle use whenever possible does not disrupt our work. On the contrary, it benefits the environment, saves resources, and promotes healthier lifestyles.
Environmental responsibility should not be limited to a one-day campaign. It should become a daily habit. Protecting nature begins not with grand gestures, but with the small, responsible choices each of us makes every day.
