On February 26, 2026, a meeting was held in the main conference hall of JSC “O‘zbekcoal” between the company’s specialists and professors of the National University of Science and Technology MISIS (NITU MISIS). The event was organized within the framework of the cooperation memorandum signed between  and NITU MISIS.

Responsible representatives of the “Angren” coal mine, the “Apartak” coal mine, and the “ShUKQO” branch took part in the meeting. During the initial discussions, issues requiring scientific solutions at the enterprises were comprehensively reviewed.

The main objective of the event was to develop scientifically grounded solutions to problems arising in the coal mining process, ensure efficient use of machinery and technologies applied at the mines, and increase production efficiency.

Associate Professor Mukhiddin Kosimov, a representative of the institute, delivered a presentation on the issues raised at the previous meeting. In particular, scientific recommendations were provided on constructing internal mine roads in accordance with required standards and organizing blasting operations effectively. It was also emphasized that relevant feasibility studies should be developed for the practical implementation of these materials in the future.

J. Alimqulov, Chief Engineer of the “ShUKQO” branch, provided information about ongoing mining operations, noting that some equipment and technologies are technologically outdated and that the presence of fire sources limits the full utilization of certain reserves.

It was also announced that the issue of developing scientific proposals for enriching high-ash coal accumulated in the internal storage facilities of the “Angren” coal mine would be considered.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to thoroughly study all the issues raised and organize the next meeting after developing scientific solutions.
