58 visits opening the way to investment and innovation
Publication date: 03.03.2026 10:54:44The year 2025 became a year of active international cooperation for O‘zbekcoal Joint-Stock Company. Throughout the year, the Company hosted 58 foreign visits, which played a significant role not only in the exchange of technologies and expertise, but also in expanding investment and scientific cooperation.
Visits by foreign companies and research institutions provided an opportunity to explore modern technologies, advanced working methods, and next-generation equipment in the mining sector. This enabled the specialists of O‘zbekcoal JSC to improve production processes, stay informed about global trends, and seek new development opportunities. At the same time, the growing interest of foreign companies enhanced the Company’s investment attractiveness and created a solid foundation for financing new projects and expanding production capacities.
In this regard, the meeting held at the beginning of 2025 with Germany’s “Carbon-polymer” company was of particular importance. The company demonstrated that it acts not only as a supplier, but also as a genuine partner for manufacturing enterprises. The solutions proposed through direct dialogue with specialists and on-site analysis of existing challenges reflected a modern and responsible approach.
In cooperation with the Republic of Korea’s governmental and scientific organizations in the field of geology and mineral resources (“KOMIR”, “KIGAM”, and “SOAM”), research was conducted on landslides in mining areas and the factors influencing them. According to preliminary results, groundwater levels and crack movements have been placed under continuous online monitoring, special sensors have been installed, and an online monitoring center has been established. The research is planned to continue until 2030 and is of great importance for improving safety and efficiency in the mining industry.
Under the guidance of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, cooperation was established with the international consulting company “Ernst & Young Advisory”. International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) were introduced within the Company, contributing to the attraction of investments and financial resources, improvement of corporate governance, and enhancement of international reputation.
As a result of cooperation with China’s “China Coal Resources Development” company, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed and a feasibility study was developed. This created opportunities to consider mutually beneficial investment proposals. To address dust issues in production areas, cooperation was launched with the foreign company “BOREI”, with practical implementation scheduled for 2026.
The Uzbek company “DuoPro” also visited the Company and proposed the installation of modern GPS systems and online fuel consumption management systems for heavy-duty trucks. These systems are currently being successfully implemented in the equipment of the “ATT” branch, with practical measures underway to monitor fuel consumption.
As a result of these visits and partnerships, O‘zbekcoal is strengthening not only its technological and scientific development, but also its investment and corporate capacity. The Company is steadily advancing toward aligning the mining industry with modern international standards and ensuring sustainable growth.
