Let’s Cherish Our National Attire

For me, national clothing is not just an outfit, but a source of pride that expresses our identity and instills a national spirit in our hearts. The face and character of every nation are also reflected in its traditional garments. Through our national attire, we connect the past with the future and show respect for our traditions and values.
Of course, in areas where work requires strict safety measures, special uniforms are essential. For example, for our compatriots working in mines and quarries, a helmet, special boots, and overalls are a matter of life and safety. But where no special dress code is required, I believe we should more often wear our national clothes. It is convenient, and at the same time, it demonstrates respect for our cultural values.
Personally, I always wear a *doppi* (traditional skullcap) as my everyday headwear. Because a doppi is not just a piece of fabric, it represents our national pride. Depending on the season and situation, I also wear other items of traditional clothing. In my family too, national attire is cherished and respected.
At our workplace, every Friday we hold a “National Attire Day” campaign, which is steadily gaining popularity. Our employees actively take part in this initiative. I am especially pleased that among the office staff, wearing traditional clothes is gradually becoming a habit.
It is encouraging that other branches of the Company are also participating in this campaign. This contributes significantly to the promotion of our cultural values.
Unfortunately, our traditional clothes – such as the doppi, the chapan, and others – have increasingly been worn only at weddings or formal ceremonies. But today, thanks to awareness campaigns, they are once again turning into a source of national pride. Indeed, national clothing is not just fabric – it embodies our identity, traditions, and values.
I believe that we should wear our national attire more often. For respect towards our nation, our history, and our future begins with this very practice.
