Walking — my daily habit
Publication date: 22.09.2025 14:53:38I live in Angren city, in the Yangi Jigariston neighborhood. The distance from my home to my workplace is not that far — about 3,500 steps. However, I try to make it a habit to walk at least 10,000 steps every day.
Last year, due to heart and vascular problems, doctors advised me to walk more and stay physically active. Since then, I have made it a routine to take a morning walk in my neighborhood before sunrise.
I also recommended this habit to my neighbor. Three months ago, he weighed 130 kg and suffered from high blood pressure. Now he has lost more than 20 kg, and his blood pressure has returned to normal. We now walk together for an hour every morning.
On some days, work requires me to travel by car. But on other days, I prefer walking. It takes me about 32 minutes to reach my workplace, and I feel refreshed and energized.
🚘 A car may seem convenient, but it also brings many issues: running out of fuel, technical breakdowns, reckless drivers, traffic jams... Moreover, car exhaust pollutes the air and harms our health.
Today is “Car-Free Day”!
But for me, it is not just one day — it is a lifestyle I follow throughout the year.
🌱 This is my contribution to a healthy lifestyle and clean air.
